Month Four

Through August, we've continued on schedule. Rafters have become roof, with shingles on already. Rough electric is in. Exterior doors are projected for the middle of September. Next steps are the exterior water proofing (tar paper) and insulation.

Our builder is expecting the Rough Inspection will final next week. He did note that the building inspectors do like to find at least something that needs correction, but couldn't identify what that might be. Then we recognized that the electrical wiring in the garage was running horizontally through the studs. Since the garage won't be sheet rocked, that won't meet code. I suggested that they leave that in place so it could serve as a red herring that the inspector could cite for correction.
