While we're still waiting on the rough inspection, there was a pleasant surprise today. The house is now lockable! You can see one of 'em in this picture of the front door. This gives our builder increased capacity for secure material storage.We are still waiting to hear from our builder's Engineer about the shear wall. The good news is he's been located. The bad news is how far away. The Engineer went to China for the Beijing Olympics and for a family visit, and returns only tomorrow. Getting his input on changes to pass that rough inspection is the gateway to any substantial progress.
